Make it clearer that the button to add widget to launch key map is hidden because 3rd party apps can't create them for you

Keymapper is very powerful, but to only be able to launch using hardware buttons is limiting. For an example of what I'm talking about you can check out MacroDroid.

That sounds exactly what I'm talking about. However I don't seem to have that option in the app. Running v2.4.2 from F-Droid. Do I need to enable some option to get the ability to use launcher shortcuts?

Oh no, that is fine. I should make it more clear. You can still drag and drop the widget from your launcher's widget picker. That button only exists if your launcher/device supports 3rd party apps creating the widget for you.
