Call for translators

We're in the process of moving all of our documentation to a central location #142. This place is the website, and before we can complete this, we need to translate the website (coming in all-contributors/legacy-domain-landing-page#14)

If you've ever wanted to contribute and help the cause of open source, now is your chance. We need you!

Hi, just wanted to start working on French translation, which is both incomplete and to be improved, but quickly realized that:

* it was accessible online (404) :'(

* some files are all or partly unavailable for translation (strings are greyed out)

If someone helps with both points, we should be able to have it as nicely translated to French as I can quite quickly :)

That's a good observation, I had a look at CrowdIn and can't see why that's returning a 404 (it seems like it's not the only one).
@jakebolam Do you have any idea why that's happening?

Hi, team.
I'm a native Indonesian speaker and I'm interested to help with improving Indonesian translation.

So far, I've seen some of these things in the translation:

• Inconsistency in using formal & informal words.
• Some of the translation sounds off (literally Google translated) which makes them difficult to understand.
• Some typos.

I've read the CONTRIBUTING file, however, I'm not familiar with Crowdin.
I have questions regarding to it and some others.

• How can I edit a translated file? I logged in to Crowdin and opened a file. But I don't see the "Enter translation here" field or any editing tool.
• I'm tyring to understand the translation workflow here. The "Bot Configuration" page still have parts that are not translated. But in the Crowdin, these parts are translated a year ago. Why are these translated parts are not available on the page?
• Do I need to fork the project and eventually create a PR for the translations? How does it work?
• How is the workflow for approving and merging translations?

@adiati98 when you open the file you can see an input field in the right part. You can see in the screenshot sentence that starts from "Data yang digunakan untuk membuat daftar contributor ............"

@yarkm13 I don't see any input field on my side. I tried to click everywhere, but the input doesn't show. Not sure if I need to configure any setting for this?

You don't need any settings. If you scroll top left area fully up you will see the header. Right column IS input field.

It's so-called "side-by-side" view. You can toggle it in the top right menu

And then you will have view like at mine screenshot.

Also you can show only untranslated strings using this filter.

My other question would be:

How we can edit the existing translations?

I opened files in the HEAD folder (or branch?), but I don't find the texts that I want to edit. But I do see them in the master folder. I'm not sure if I can edit anything that's already in the master.
