There seem to be two ways to close the start menu currently: Press Esc or click it "away" (basically click anywhere else).
So this works as expected when e.g. clicking onto a different window or clicking on the panel.
However I noticed the menu does not close when I click onto my desktop.
(btw this is also true when clicking on the dock on the bottom)
My understanding is, that the menu should close when the user clicks anywhere else (or I guess that is what the user expects).
I don't think there is any reason to keep it open? Anyways, the way it is currently is inconsistent at the least.
