Full translation of TE and add-ons

Guidelines to translators

1. Language files in TE "lang" folder (existing translations) have been imported into the attached LibreOffice spreadsheet files.

2. Fill in "Translation" where "Duplicated" is FALSE. Include & and/or ... in a translation if specified. TE can automatically remove them where unnecessary.

3. You can leave a translation blank if you do not want any.

4. "English" with ^ prefix is already translated by TE (on my Traditional Chinese Windows 7). You do not need to provide any translation.

5. Any record marked with "enhancement required" cannot be translated by TE unless a relevant enhancement is made. (There may be some more such records without this remark.)

6. TE does not accept same translations. "Same translation" will be TRUE if there is any. You may have to correct any existing translation with this problem.

7. There are 3 workarounds to same translations:

(a) Use different uppercase/lowercase. In this case "Same translation" will show a false positive.

(b) Add a "no-break space". You can search for "NBS" (a named expression) in "Translation" column in "zh_hk.ods" file for examples.

(c) Insert an extra space character between two words.

8. Some "English" are vague. I have put some remarks to help you to understand. You can also find more information in an add-on document TE Add-ons in Categories PDF ccfs/TablacusExplorer#1.

9. TE provides a discrete set of options for each item in "Type" drop-down list box. They are recorded as "Type Options".

10. Your spreadsheet application may automatically change ... (3 dots) to … (an ellipsis) when you type. Make sure you change any ellipsis back to 3 dots.

11. To update your language file, replace all <text> lines by all non-blank "XML" lines.

12. Verify your translations in TE, especially those with & and/or .... You can choose "Tools > Reload customize" to reload your translation file if you update it when TE is running.

13. The following translations are stored in add-on source codes, not in language files. If you want them be translated too, raise an enhancement request.

I draw also your attention on my comment about the and entries in the add-on's config.xml, when they are "duplicate"
