Goals

This course is intended for students who want to learn data science through the Python programming language. The course is composed of 4 phases. The first 4 week phase is designed for students to familiarize themselves with the Python programming language as it is the most widely used language for data science development. The second 8 week phase deals with understanding the fundamentals of statistics and machine learning with an emphasis on neural networks, deep learning, natural language processing and big data. Phase 3 wraps up the course where students use the knowledge from the previous phases in a comprehensive project that students pick based on their interest.
