This is a (currently) babby Discord bot written in Python 3.5.
To set up:

python3.5 -m venv env
in directory. -
source env/bin/activate
to use virtual env. -
pip install -U pip setuptools wheel
to upgrade pip. -
pip install -r requirements.txt
to install deps. -
Create a
app/config.py
file with the same format asconfig.example.py
.You can find or create your list of applications here.
To run:

Use the start script
./start.sh -b [name]
Make sure the
name
is the name of a bot inconfig.py
The bot will print out an OAuth URL that can be used to add the bot to your server.
An example systemd service file is also inculded in this repository as
duckbot.service
to run duckbot as a persistent service on a server. The
example assumes there is a user named duck
with the code in
/home/duck/duckbot
and that there is a 'prod' bot config. To install duckbot
as a systemd service, copy duckbot.service
to /etc/systemd/system/
and run
systemctl enable duckbot.service
(may have to run as root).
