Get Your Shiny New CMS Up And Running With Our Simple Guide.
Clone our repo to begin.
git clone /~https://github.com/BrentDalling1800/Timely_CMS.git
Then Generate Your Application Keys
php artisan key:generate
You should get something sorta like this
Application key [base64:pnPq9UoVZlg0nnruNdwJV5dIcDJ+sJyCYLvOT0qwVok=] set successfully.
Setting your host allows users to go directly to the app. Follow up with your OS provider for instructions on completing this. DigitalOcean has a great guide for Ubuntu 16.04+ distros. Link To Guide
var/www/html/[your_folder]/public
The host file is very important to getting your site working properly. Use the above example for reference.
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin admin@test.com
ServerName social.timelysystems.com
ServerAlias social.timelystems.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/html/social/public
</VirtualHost>
Contact your server provider or dns provider to setup your subdomain. In the above example, the subdomain would be social.timelysystems.com. Through DigitalOcean, this is as simple as accesssing your droplet networking, click on your domain, then click on the "A record" option. Under Hostname type in your sub domain. We used social in our above example. You will then click in the "Will Direct To" option, then select your droplet.
You need to setup your database so our CMS can grab and store content to be used.
Create the database "project" so our CMS can use the database.
Set a new user with these credentials with access to your database "project" you created. Username
