When I type an address in the bar, it just opens the context menu when I press enter. Is there something else I should be doing?

Also, is there a way to set the download folder for updates? I am using portable mode, and downloaded the update from Tablacus explorer, and it sent a copy to Appdata/temp, and another to Appdata/local/microsoft... I had to run a search to find the .zip.

Windows 10

Please show some screen captures of the problem, and your TE config (Help > About Tablacus Explorer > Copy).

TE updates are downloaded to your user's temp folder (AppData\Local\Temp by default) if you choose "Help > Check for updates". I don't think of a way to change it unless you change the TEMP environment variable of your Windows. Alternatively you can download TE program/add-on ZIP from https://tablacus.github.io/explorer_en.html.

You accidentally changed the "Base" of "Alias" to "File" and caused the weird behaviour.

Change it back to "Exec".

Ahh, thank you. I was playing around with it before because it had my desktop or C drive as the root of the tree on the left rather than "This PC."

But now both are good.
