Reaction sent from other device not showing

Steps to reproduce

1. React to a message from Element Android while Element Web is closed
2. Open Element Web
3. Wait for sync to finish and look at the message being reacted to in Element Web

Outcome

What did you expect?

The reaction shows.

What happened instead?

The reaction does not show. When trying to react again, this happens:

The reaction is still visible on Element Android:

Hitting "Clear cache and reload" did not help. I also cannot see the reaction when showing hidden events (even after clearing the cache).
