I think in riot-web when you leave rooms with a predecessor in m.room.create it'll also leave all older room versions. RiotX only leaves the current version, so next time you login in riot-web you'll have an older version of the room you intended to leave in the room list

  • create room A
  • upgrade room A and thus create room B
  • leave room B
  • (you'll still be in room A)
