Description:

When editing a rule from the Rule Updates Table on any page other than page 1 (scenario 1), the table refreshes in the background, and the user is redirected to page 1 instead of remaining on the same page.
Same behavior can be observed when rules are updated (scenario 2).

Kibana/Elasticsearch Stack version:

VERSION: 9.0.0
BUILD: 82845
COMMIT: 05f897e

Functional Area (e.g. Endpoint management, timelines, resolver, etc.):

Prebuilt rules update

Pre requisites:

  1. prebuiltRulesCustomizationEnabled is enabled
  2. Prebuilt rules are available
  3. Rules updates are available

Steps to reproduce:

Scenario 1:

  1. Open the Rule Updates Table.
  2. Navigate to a page other than page 1 (e.g., page 2).
  3. Select a rule from the table on the current page.
  4. Edit any field in the rule and save the changes.

Scenario 2:

  1. Open the Rule Updates Table.
  2. Navigate to a page other than page 1 (e.g., page 2).
  3. Click to update a rule.

Current behavior:

  • The Rule Updates Table refreshes in the background.
  • The user is redirected to page 1, losing their place in the table.

Expected behavior:

User should remain on the same page they were on before editing and saving/updating the rule.
