- Shred — single fragment of paper after shredding
- Sheet list of colour paper to which shreds are glued to make it possible to scan them
- Batch — bunch of sheets imported at once. For example batch might represent all documents from a single bag.
- Tag — single feature of the shred. For example for shred from image above tags will be “has numbers”, “part of the table”, “has numbers”, etc. We distinguish base tags which are pre-defined and available for all users and user own tags. Those user can introduce and use. User tags are being reviewed time from time and good finds are moved to base tags
- Feature — automatically defined property of the shred. Think width, height, contour, histogram
- Tag suggestion – suggestions made by system to a particular shred in an automatic way after running it's features through the list of heuristic. For example, we might use histogram to find the colour of background or to mark part of photos.
