The ELT framework utilizes an Azure SQL (Serverless) database as metadata repository. In a future release, this database will be mirrored into the Fabric workspace with real-time reporting via direct lake semantic models. Power BI will serve as the analytics layer, supported by PBI Copilot for self-service capabilities.
