Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

To reproduce, open some file in zed editor, make scroll appear, then alt+tab to any chromium app, scroll there, then move back to zed editor and try to scroll again. You should notice scroll jump in zed editor

It's a known bug in vscode that can be bixed with /~https://github.com/lucasresck/gnome-shell-extension-alt-tab-scroll-workaround but it's somehow not working with zed

Environment

Zed: v0.155.2 (Zed)
OS: Linux X11 pop 22.04
Memory: 13.5 GiB
Architecture: x86_64
GPU: AMD Radeon Graphics (RADV RENOIR) || radv || Mesa 24.0.3-1pop1171163555922.04~7a9f319

If applicable, add mockups / screenshots to help explain present your vision of the feature

No response

If applicable, attach your Zed.log file to this issue.

I can confirm I have this too.

It’s not random, it seems to be exactly jumping from the same amount (and in the same direction) that I just scrolled in the other window. I would rename the issue to something like "Scrolling outside of Zed makes scroll jump by the same amount on focus."

Here are my system specs:

Zed: v0.156.1 (Zed)
OS: Linux X11 linuxmint 21.2
Memory: 14.8 GiB
Architecture: x86_64
GPU: AMD Unknown (RADV RENOIR) || radv || Mesa 23.2.1-1ubuntu3.1~22.04.2

Not sure if it’s related, but I also have a Linux scroll issue on wake. Everyday after I turn my laptop back on from sleep, scroll is not working at all, I have to restart Zed. But sadly I can’t reproduce the bug by just putting the computer to sleep and wake it up right after.

I can open another issue if it doesn’t seem related to this one, but I’d need to reproduce it consistently first.

Zed: v0.161.2 (Zed)
OS: Linux X11 linuxmint 21.2
Memory: 14.9 GiB
Architecture: x86_64
GPU: AMD Unknown (RADV RENOIR) || radv || Mesa 23.2.1-1ubuntu3.1~22.04.2

The extension seems to have started working with zed v0.165.4
