IATI Publisher's data entry form and bulk import currently give an error if a user formats their telephone number with a "+" sign.

The contact-info telephone sub-element has no restrictions on symbols. The IATI schema accepts any string in this field.

Can we:

  • Relax the data validation logic in the data entry form to accept strings with symbols
  • Apply the same change to data validation checks when importing activity data

(I'm de-prioritising this to the backlog as there are workarounds for importing publisher data with affected contact telephone numbers)
