So what's the deal with Server Side Ad Insertion? Is there nothing that can be done? That issue has been open for over a year now.

Adblock/Plus tried with https://issues.adblockplus.org/ticket/6592
That only worked for a few days as far as I understand #1905 (comment)

I added brighteon.com to the list of SSAI-domains.

The problem is ads and the video are stiched together, if you block the ad, the video also get blocked because there's way to differentiate the ad from the video, and thats the issue with SSAI.
