Form Builder Error

Hi,

I face a problem to set up a small form with the widget Form Builder. I get this error : Prohibited input U+0000007D

If I make a test in my Joomla configuration, the test email is OK. I tried a lot of set up but alway the same problem.

Some ideas about things to check? Nobody face the same problem?

I haven't seen this issue before but it's likely to be an issue with an incorrect character in one of your form fields.

Is there some forms built with Form Builder widget that can be see? I cannot find it in the demo page for exemple.

@sonvnn on that demo page there is a cloudflare captcha below the form. Do the FB take Joomla's set general captcha into account or what captcha solutions are possible?

(I only can see an on/off switch which produces this simple calculation at the bottom of the form)

Nice. If I try to send the form I get a Invalid address: (cc): error. Or Captcha is invalid . But maybe it just a demo form.

A Form Layout must be the only thing in a section ?

Thanks - was there a reason for 'not just using' the set captcha from the Joomla system settings? I ask because, for example, I often use the "Friendlycaptcha" plugin ("GDPR compliant"), which, if I read it correctly, then cannot be used for the form builder, right?

It might work if you have that option, it's not something I have personally tested.

Joomla removed ReCaptcha from new installations of Joomla 5. So people may only have the Joomla ReCaptcha settings if they are still on version 4 or upgraded from version 4.

The Astroid Re-capture is more focused on new installations of Joomla 5.

I spoke from the friendlycaptcha plugin for J5 for example - when I've read everything correct I'm not able to use it for Astroid FB forms.
(I mean friendly captcha is there in J5 settings and every J5 form use it - but I can't set it in the astroid captcha plugin)

I've done a quick test and it seems that you can only use the Astroid Captcha plugin. I'm not sure if this is by design or not or whether it was something to do with the Joomla changes. If I get a chance I'll try and look at the code over the weekend but @sonvnn may be able to provide more details.

@Terresco Everything should work fine but you have to match up what you need.

You have to have form elements to match items such as email headers, from, subject, message body etc.

If you had the following but no form element with "CC" then the form won't work.

Are you building a form in "article layout" or as a module?

I am building it in a template style.

The only reason I asked is that I think there may be an issue using the "Astroid Layout" module but I will test again later.

The form works fine in "article layout" though. Keep us updated how you get on.

I cannot exactly explain why I was doing wrong, but I try exactly the exemple you sent me and it's working perfectly. I think I was wrong with the CC email. Now I will change thing one by one to understand all.
