I've decided to release the changes made in #252 as a patch release.

In my view, the changes made in #252 are not breaking changes, as the feature works the same as before. What has changed, is the underlying "architecture" how GitHub Actions works.
I don't want to force tens of thousands of projects to upgrade to a major version of git-auto-commit, for a feature, they are potentially not even using. (Same applies for the changes made in #247)

Most users of git-auto-commit use the Action runner of GitHub. They don't use a self-hosted runner or use GitHub Enterprise.
Users using self-hosted runners or GitHub Enterprise are advised to update their runners or pin their used version of git-auto-commit to either v4.15.0 or v4.15.1.
