I think a new release is in order to fix the incompatibilities with Spyder 3.3.2

Yes, I'll make a release. I checked that the plugin still works.

Should we / I resolve #172 first, or is that not so important? I haven't looked at it yet.

It shouldn't be too hard to solve, but I don't think it's a blocking issue. So it's your call.

release 0.1.4 is by now NOT expected to work with spyder 3.3.2 ?
Because in my case, it doesn't.

0.1.4 was released a couple of months ago and it's working with Spyder 3.3.2

I get no gear-menu in spyder (3.3.2) editor with an entry concerning ipynb.

could you advise on finding the problem, please?

• In the spyder ipython console I can import spyder_notebook without complaints.
• a spyder session with reset defaults will not yield different results (spyder3 --defaults)
• starting a spader session from the command line just outputs something about RGB profiles, which seems irrelevant to the problem. (libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile)
• opening an ipynb in the file menu just displays the raw text content of the unrendered notebook.

That's not what's added. You need to go to the menu

View > Panes > Notebook

to display it. After that, please see the screenshot in our Readme
