My computer has a 1366x768 screen. When Medo starts up, the window border extends beyond the screen and I have to use ctrl+alt to bring it back.

Hi parnikkapore.
Yes, the default window is a bit too large for your screen, the next Beta will attempt to address this. Video editing on such small screens is challenging, I agree. As a work around until the next Beta, try pressing ALT-1 (or CTRL-1 depending on your keyboard preferences) which initiates auto layout, it should resize the best it can.

To be addressed in next Beta.
