Unless this has been changed in an update, it's still possible for a Mace to outright miss without dealing evasion damage if you're attacking an enemy that's more than one row away from your character. In particular, a back row Priest using a 2 handed Mace is likely to outright miss a noticable percentage of the time.

Huh, interesting. I haven't seen that happen before, but I also don't have anything with a mace in the back row, nor do I attack with a mace two rows back.
