Add ability to add comments/descriptions to various objects.

It would be helpful to be able to add general text to various objects (such as entities, devices, etc.. to add extra information about the things that could then be shown in various dashboards.

(I did search for this, but I think that the word comments came up in lots of different issues but none were a about this, so I suspect that it's just too common of a word)

It might be nice tot be able to reference it in scripts or automations, though probably only for things like adding text to a notification, not in any actionable way.
