Solo instrument when editing in Orchestra Pit

I really hope this is a suggestion, and I'm just not configuring something right!
When editing an instrument in Orchestra Pit and playing on my MIDI keyboard, the Helio Default instrument plays.
I am I doing something wrong, or is it possible for the MIDI input to be directed (If node connected) to the instrument currently being edited in the Orchestra Pit?
