Update license to add linking exception or dual license under Apache #47
Comments
This project was written while I was employed by IBM, using IBM resources, and for use within an IBM services offering; so IBM hold the copyright to that work and has allowed it to be published as open source. It is not currently possible to use under another licence. The only license update I've seriously considered would be adding a linking exception. If this would help, let me know and I can investigate having the exception added. |
A linking exception will be help. Thanks for your time. |
Ok, I'm looking into the possibility of adding a linking exception or dual licensing under an Apache license. I'll post the outcome here. |
Apache license +1

Any news on this one? Unfortunately GPL 3 holds me from using it... |
+1 a linking exception would be hugely helpful |
Sigh .. cant use because of GPL 3, please consider switching to Apache. MIT or BSD license. |
@cardillo any chance this will happen ? that would be great |
+1 Apache |
Hi, I would like to know why this project is copyright to IBM? Is it supported by IBM? Additionally, is it possible to use another open source license, such as MIT?
