Interest in iOS

I am interested in the amount of potential users on iOS! If there is enough interest I might consider also publishing to the Apple App Store. Since the costs to publish to app store are quite high (100$/year), this step would only make sense if there are enough users interested and potentially also willing to help me cover part of the fees.

Are there any updates on the iOS version of this app? If buying a developer certificate is not an option for you, I recently discovered a method to distribute iOS apps without publishing it in the app store. Using altstore, users can install .ipa.Files manually without the store on their iPhone. These files normally also need a certificate, but when installing it using altstore, this is not checked. So you can build a simple .ipa file by following this guide and publish it to github. This process could be automated as well using a CI pipeline.

Already done on my side, don't know if there is a timing. UI said if I delete the app it will be available for other's devs :)

I seem to have been bumped from the testflight beta. Was that intentional ? I was very much enjoying adding files to paperless from the iphone camera.

No, not intentional. I don't manage the iOS distribution myself, but I'm planning on doing so.

Ah dang, I hate Apple for this exclusivity bullshit (have been since 2013, where people kept pestering me about an iOS app).

It might be possible to compile and build version with github actions + fastlane on a free github MacOS machine, at least it was some time ago.

Totally understand. Let me know if there’s any way I can help with my macbook although GitHub actions does look like a good strategy. You’re also totally justified in charging a small fee for the app on ios to recoup your costs and time.
