BUG: Issue with emojis in track names #31
Comments
Honestly, who the hell even uses emojis for tracks? Yeah that's quite difficult to fix as Pillow doesn't offer any properly emoji support, but maybe we need to work on that. |
Don't bully coldplay like that, haha! I'll try to PR for this in a few days. |
I have this custom script, "writing.py," that I use for multi-language support, but it's kinda slow because it checks each font file for glyphs individually, and I really need to speed it up. There's also this module, Pilmoji, and I think if we could combine the two, we could create a tool that a lot of people would find useful. The issue is that Pillow doesn't fully support multi-language or emojis, which is mentioned in this Pillow GitHub issue. It's definitely a project I'm excited about working on, aside from BeatPrints, but with my studies right now, I just don't have the time. |
I see now. Yes, I discovered Pilmoji as well. I am going to try it out in a few days to see if I may come onto something. |
I would rather avoid using pilmoji, given that a lot of people hate how inconsistent it is. |
