That is because you're not using the livesuit image that came with the firmware build but the initial one. You've missed the following step:

No, but in the process of starting it
Your questions
Hello,
First, many thanks to all contributors for all the fantastic work this global software is, it's really great.
I own a Dreame d10s plus, made my own PCB, and used it with the fastboot method, no problem to save all the original stages bin, looks correct size.
But entering in the real root part made me more puzzled : until I reach the "fastboot oem prep" line, I always get "OKAY" with the first lines :
/valetudo-sunxi-livesuit/rootOperation$ fastboot getvar config
config: d86e5ffbf1a2d5d1056cd3dd1d82433b
Finished. Total time: 0.197s
fastboot getvar dustversion
dustversion: 2024.07.00
Finished. Total time: 0.002s
fastboot oem dust 11c2e33d
OKAY [ 0.000s]
Finished. Total time: 0.000s
fastboot oem prep
FAILED (remote: '')
I don't know exactly what the line is doing, and the fun part, this specific command line only exist on the public internet in your project only, which is not so common.
Verbose mode doesn't give me more clue on what's happen, what is missing.
I replayed the process "Phase 2: Rooting" from the "entering fastboot" multiple times, with the same invariant result.
As the risk is to brick my robot, I obey the order ". If it doesn’t, DO NOT PROCEED.", but I'm quite stuck. Do you have even a tiny clue which would be more than the whole internet to help me ?
Thank you.
