What happened?

I made a custom sub, then I bought it and I was using it then change some things in the sub editor but the changes wont update in the game.

Reproduction steps

1. I made a custom sub. 2. I bought the sub in singleplayer campaign. 3. Made changes to the sub in sub editor. 4. The changes won't update in the campaign

All submarines you have used are saved independently in the campaign save file, you need some tools to import a new submarine into the campaign save.

Yeah, this is correct: changes to submarines in the submarine editor don't affect submarines you own in an existing campaign. If you want the changes to apply to an existing sub, you either need to use the save editor, or repurchase the updated version of the sub from on outpost.
