[UPDATE: Belatedly realised that Octopus will also be paying the Export tariff rate as well as the 104 Octopoints, so it still makes a profit. Hence closing the discussion.]
Apologies if I've missed this elsewhere but I can't find it...
Octopus now have their own Savings Sessions where they pay 104 Octopoints or 13p per unit saved (I think these are separate from the national sessions last winter). The component is automatically enrolling me and exporting from my battery. This was worth doing last year when the payment per unit was significantly above the import rates, but now the payment is less than it costs me at my cheapest rate in the early hours of the morning, so clearly exporting is uneconomic as it will cost me more to charge my battery back up.
Is there a setting within the component to only Opt In to the session if the payment is more than my cheapest cost of electricity?
If not, could this be a feature request?
Thank you.
